Project information
Developed in partnership with Ark Energy, the Nevertire region, known for its cotton cultivation, was chosen for its robust electricity network infrastructure. This innovative solar project employs single-axis tracking solar modules, optimising energy capture by continuously aligning with the sun's movement throughout the day. The tracking frames adjust approximately every minute, ensuring the modules always face the sun. These solar panels are securely mounted on steel frames, which are minimally invasive as they are pile-driven into the ground, causing minimal disruption to the land. To connect the solar farm to the existing infrastructure, a transmission line links it to the Nevertire substation, seamlessly integrating the generated energy into the grid.
Status
This solar farm was constructed and commenced operations in 2020.
