Ian has an established career in renewable energy and finance.
Since Ian co-founded Island Green Power in 2013 he has lead the company to become one of the world’s largest and most successful Solar Developers with over 1 GW of plants developed. Under his leadership, Island Green Power has grown from being a UK focused developer to a developer with operations in 5 markets who are well positioned to lead the energy revolution.
Prior to founding Island Green Power, Ian co-founded Scientia Solar which completed the development of 12 projects in Italy under the feed in tariff regime.
Before becoming involved in the renewable energy industry, Ian founded Liberty Asset Management in 1996, which grew to become one of Ireland’s largest independent financial services companies with assets under management of €300m. In 2002, Liberty was acquired by Eureko, a major European Insurance Conglomerate.
Ian is also an avid golfer with aspirations. He has competed in the prestigious Alfred Dunhill Links Championship Pro-Am several times.
Colm has an established career in renewable energy.
Since Colm co-founded Island Green Power in 2013 the company has grown to become one of the world’s largest and most successful Solar Developers with over 1 GW of plants developed. In time, the company has realised many market firsts such as some of the first grid parity projects in the UK and the first non-grant funded Utility Scale project in Australia.
Colm is widely respected in the industry and has a wealth of connections. He is a firm believer that the world is going through a once in a lifetime energy transformation where clean renewable energy is more affordable than conventional fossil fuels and an energy revolution is happening.
Prior to founding Island Green Power Colm co-founded Scientia Solar which completed the development of 12 projects in Italy under the feed in tariff regime.
Before Colm’s involvement in the renewable energy industry he owned a real estate development company which completed several developments in Eastern Europe in partnership with institutional investors.
Colm is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and a qualified private pilot.
Bob joined Island Green Power as Chief Executive Officer in May 2024, bringing over 24 years’ experience in renewable energy, infrastructure investment, and asset management to Island Green Power.
Prior to joining IGP, Bob co-founded and was the CEO of Renewable Power Capital Limited, a renewable energy power producer backed by £1.5 billion of capital commitments. Starting from a blank sheet of paper, Bob created enormous equity value for shareholders in a little over two years – he established a leading presence in the Nordics with 845MW of onshore wind in operation or construction, built an attractive 4.5GW solar PV development pipeline in Spain, entered the market in Poland with a high potential 1GW onshore wind pipeline, and launched 1.5GW of partnerships in the UK for battery storage.
Bob was formerly GE Energy Financial Services’ Head of Europe and has successfully closed equity investments in energy assets with over €5 billion in enterprise value. In addition, he created and led Global Capital Advisory, raising over $14 billion of third-party capital for GE’s renewable energy, power, oil & gas, aviation, and healthcare projects globally.
Bob enjoys spending time with his family, painting, cooking, and American football, which he played in university for Harvard.
Steve, a chartered accountant, who has significant experience in energy and finance joined IGP in May 2024.
Prior to joining IGP, Steve was the CEO of IGas Energy plc, an AiM quoted company, having been CFO from 2011. He was on the plc Board, developed and implemented the Group strategy, led the Executive Committee and had responsibility for the Group with over 100 operational sites and revenues of c. US$75m.
Steve led IGas through numerous M&A transactions, fund raisings, refinancings, and the transition to low carbon through the acquisition of GT Energy, a geothermal business, in 2020.
Before joining IGas, Steve was an Executive Director at Hoare Govett, the merchant banking arm of ABM Amro. In just over 10 years at the bank, he completed over 100 transactions for his clients including IPOs, capital raisings and M&A activity. Steve joined Hoare Govett in 1999, from Deloitte, where he qualified as an ACA.
He is delighted to be now focusing on renewable energy to make a material difference to the energy mix.
Outside of work, Steve is a keen sportsman, enjoying golf, real tennis, skiing and scuba diving.
Chandni joined Island Green Power in 2020, having acted for IGP for a number of years prior to this.
She oversees day-to-day operations, leading cross-functional teams and supporting strategic initiatives, with the aim of driving positive change and contributing to the acceleration of the global transition towards a more sustainable and resilient energy ecosystem.
Prior to joining IGP, Chandni acted for various stakeholders in the energy sector, including National Grid ESO in relation to its electricity balancing services contracts, National Grid Grain LNG, electricity suppliers and other market players in relation to their regulatory and contractual matters.
Chandni grew up on the sunny and sandy shoreline of Dar-Es-Salaam in Tanzania. Outside the usual gym routine, she is a seasonal tennis player, an occasional rock climber and a newbie golfer.
Dave has worked with IGP since 2013 and has been responsible for the development of the company’s solar and battery projects, including personally identifying and securing over 6GW of connections in the UK.
His extensive industry knowledge spans land, planning and grid, and is Vice Chair of the industry’s NSIP Forum. Prior to joining IGP, Dave spent 15 years working in senior management roles in the engineering and automotive industries in the UK and Europe.
With twelve years of experience in the industry, Alessio is responsible for the design of IGP’s Solar PV Plants and BESS systems. His responsibilities range from detailed System Design, Yield Assessments to project management of EPC tendering and contractors. He has a technical approach to problem solving, great attention to details and is a real team player.
Prior to joining Island Green Power Alessio worked in a similar role for another UK Developer. Before this he was a building surveyor in the construction industry in Italy.
Alessio hails from the beautiful island of Sardinia and sees himself as a brand ambassador for all things Italian – food, fashion, history and culture. He is also passionate about sports, regular gym goers and keen traveller.
Tomas joined Island Green Power as Chief Commercial Officer in September 2024, bringing a wealth of experience from across the renewable energy industry.
Prior to joining IGP, Tomas held the role of Senior Vice President at Renewable Power Capital ("RPC"), responsible for the origination and execution of power market contracts, as well as market risk and operations within the Power Markets team. Before joining RPC, Tomas led the European Power Purchase Agreement ("PPA") team for Macquarie’s Green Investment Group ("GIG") where he built their capability to originate, structure and negotiate PPAs across Europe. While at GIG, Tomas negotiated corporate and utility PPAs and physical route-to-market agreements across the continent for both new-build and operating assets across solar and wind technologies.
Prior to GIG, Tomas held roles as PPA Director as well as a Senior Sales Manager for onshore wind turbines at GE Renewable Energy, gaining significant experience across both technology and markets. Earlier in his career, Tomas worked at Statkraft in the Nordic Origination team as well as Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the Strategic(Corporate) Equity Derivatives team.
Tomas holds a MEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Management from the University of Sheffield. Tomas enjoys spending time with his family, running and cooking, with a passion for (proper) BBQ.
Abi joined Island Green Power in June 2024 and works for the Executive Team as EA to the CEO, CFO and COO.
Abi has many years’ experience as an EA/Office Manager, including 9 years at AIM-listed Star Energy Group plc. Prior to joining IGP, Abi worked at TMT Finance, and has also held roles in financial PR.
Outside of work, Abi enjoys gigs, festivals and cinema, and volunteers at Medicinema. a charity that runs cinemas in hospitals.
Kat joined Island Green Power in 2023 and leads on the provision of legal support to the land and development teams. Kat advises on all property aspects of IGP’s UK project development process and is proud to be supporting the country’s transition to clean energy generation.
Kat made the move in-house from her previous role as legal director at Walker Morris LLP where she specialised in advising developers, landowners and investors on a range of renewable energy projects. From her time in private practice, Kat is well versed on the land, planning and project set-up issues associated with utility-scale solar and battery developments.
Kat is based in Yorkshire where, outside of work, you may find her exploring the countryside with her family.
Rob works within the legal team at Island Green Power and assists in the land acquisition and site set-up aspects of the project cycle.
Previously, Rob has worked for international law firms specialising in the real estate aspects of renewable projects, including solar and on-shore and off-shore wind.
Outside of work, Rob enjoys sport and outdoor activities, including rugby, hiking and triathlon.
Emma joined Island Green Power in 2024 and is excited to provide legal support to the development team in their contribution to the net zero transition.
Emma moves in house following three years at boutique commercial property firm Land Law LLP and prior to that a decade at Walker Morris LLP where she split her time between the general commercial property team and the specialist energy team.
Emma is based in Ilkley, West Yorkshire.
Matthew Pearce is a real estate solicitor with a particular focus on renewable energy and infrastructure projects.
During his career working for a City and US firms, he has advised on projects ranging from the acquisition, development and refinancing of solar farms, wind farms and biomass power plants, through to office and industrial developments and retail and healthcare portfolio acquisitions and disposals.
He has worked both in private practice and as in-house counsel and in addition to being a member of the Law Society of England and Wales is registered with the Paris Bar as a Consultant Juridique Étranger.
Matthew is an Arsenal season ticket holder.
Nilakshi joined our Legal team in 2023 as a Corporate and Company Secretarial Paralegal, where she plays an integral role in assisting our Head of Legal with a wide range of Corporate and Commercial matters.
Prior to joining our team, Nilakshi served as an Attorney at Law and a Registered Company Secretary in Sri Lanka. Her experience extends to working with a renowned accountancy practice in London, where she contributed her skills to the Company Secretarial team. In addition to her legal background, Nilakshi holds qualifications in Accounting and Business Administration, ensuring a well-rounded approach to her work.
Hailing from the picturesque island nation of Sri Lanka, she’s enjoys cooking authentic Sri Lankan cuisine and has a deep passion for music.
Before Island Green Power, Eilidh spent 4 years at an international law firm inutilities and asset management.
During Eilidh’s utilities career, her interest in renewable energy grew having assisted on offshore wind and solar projects in Scotland, and the Green Energy Project on behalf of a Distribution Network Operator in England.
Outside of work, Eilidh enjoys being around her pets, travelling and baking.
Zaki joined Island Green Power in October 2022, where he assists with legal and commercial exchanges, as well as the development and integration of software platforms.
This is Zaki’s first full-time role after graduating with a degree in International Relations in 2022. While at university, he developed a keen interest in decarbonization and developing ESG frameworks.
Outside of the office, Zaki enjoys travelling to different parts of the world and playing tennis.
Holly joined our Legal Team in March 2024 as a Solicitor (New Zealand qualified). Holly assists the Legal Team with corporate transactions and compliance, and property matters in the UK and New Zealand.
Prior to joining Island Green Power, Holly worked as a Projects and Real Estate Lawyer at a leading commercial law firm in New Zealand for three and a half years, where she advised key players in the New Zealand property market on real estate transactions such as acquisition and disposals, landlord and tenant matters, site redevelopment and real estate due diligence.
Holly is passionate about environmental sustainability and is eager to contribute her legal skills to renewable energy projects and initiatives which reduce carbon emissions and pave the way for a greener future.
Originally from New Zealand, Holly enjoys exploring all that the Northern Hemisphere has to offer through travel with friends. Holly is also an avid horse-rider and loves spending time outdoors.
Grant is a Chartered Accountant with over thirty years’ experience mainly supporting the bidding, financing, and operations of large infrastructure projects. Prior to joining Island Green Power in 2022, Grant was Head of Reporting for a global service and utilities company.
Outside work, Grant is a keen sportsman and is a county rugby referee for Buckinghamshire.
Ewa joined Island Green Power in 2016. As one of the first employees at the company, Ewa has held several roles in line with the company’s growth. She is currently Head of HR.
Prior to joining Island Green Power Ewa held key roles in start-ups and growth companies in different industries and countries. At the Swedish language school EF, Ewa was responsible for managing Swedish students’ year-long exchange program in USA. At Rights Agency Limited, a company managing artists’ royalty payments, Ewa was the General Manager liaising with worldwide, state-owned rights agents as well as the world’s most well-known artists. Other industries where Ewa has worked include recruitment, media and hospitality.
Outside of work, Ewa enjoys travelling, pottery and long walks with her family.
Columb qualified as an Accountant in Ireland and has over forty years’ experience in finance and business. Having spent almost 10 years in practice he moved to the UK and worked in various industries mainly in the Brewing, Pubs, and hospitality sector.
Prior to joining Island Green Power in 2021 he was semi-retired and involved in technology and life sciences mainly as an adviser/investor.
Outside work, Columb is an avid golfer and likes to travel to see great places and watch great sporting events. Golf and Rugby (Leinster and Ireland) being the arenas of choice, though as an Everton football fan he clearly experiences most sporting emotions.
Mark joined Island Green Power in October 2023 and is a member of the Finance and Administration team.
Prior to joining Island Green Power, Mark spent 4 years in KPMG Ireland’s audit practice where he developed strong financial reporting expertise and gained a broad commercial awareness. Over the same period, Mark qualified as a Chartered Accountant and is now an active member of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
During Mark’s audit career he led audits of companies operating in the renewable energy sphere. During these audits, he developed a strong interest in this sector from both a commercial and environmental perspective.
Outside of work, Mark enjoys the outdoors, sport, and living an active lifestyle. He also has a keen interest in food, cooking and travel.
Cathy joined Island Green Power in December 2020 and is a member of the Finance and Administration team.
Prior to joining Island Green Power, Cathy spent sixteen years working in the finance department for a large American company specialising in the collectibles market.
A Management Accountant, Cathy brings with her the experience of having worked with several types of accounting systems and will make a major contribution to the design and development of the company’s new in-house accounting system. She also brings with her years of team leadership experience from her previous roles.
Cathy enjoys going to the theatre, watching sports and has a great love of animals.
Christella joined Island Green Power in April 2022 and is a member of the Finance and Administration team.
Prior to joining Island Green Power, Christella worked 13 years in the Finance Department of a global healthcare technology and services company who provides specialised software and data services to healthcare industries and professionals like the NHS, Ministry of Defence, GP’s and Pharmacies in the UK.
She originally started her career in Banking and FX Trading and spent 13 years working at a number of International Money Brokers and major banks as a FX Dealer Assistant.
In her spare time, Christella enjoys photography, growing vegetables in her allotment and long country walks with her family.
Cavan joined Island Green Power and the Finance team in February 2023.
Cavan has always had a keen eye on business studies.
In his spare time, he enjoys watching sport, predominantly football, boxing and golf.
Mathias joined Island Green Power in 2021. He is responsible for supporting the development and design of Utility-scale PV Plants and perform energy yield assessments.
Born in Uruguay, Mathias started his journey in Renewables in 2012. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a focus on Energy and Sustainability. After graduating he joined a well established solar company in Surrey working as a Solar PV design engineer. Here he developed his skills in designing grid-tied systems with battery storage as well as preparing quotations and grid connection applications.
Prior to this Mathias worked as an administrator in the shipping industry at the Port of Montevideo where he worked in the logistics department.
In his spare time, Mathias plays music in a band and enjoys going to the community garden to grow organic vegetables in tune with nature.
Antonio joined Island Green Power as Project Designer in 2023. Before joining IGP, he gained experience, as a Project Engineer, on the development of large-scale onshore wind and solar projects in Italy.
Antonio is a rounded professional with an academic background both in engineering and in business administration. He qualified at the University of Bologna (Italy) with an MSc in Environmental Engineering (with First Class Hons) and an MBA in Green Energy. He is also Prince2 Agile certified in project management. Antonio’s professional exposure includes a diverse portfolio of experiences, ranging from automotive to renewable energy.
Antonio enjoys traveling; he finds witnessing new cultures inspiring and enhancing his creativity. He loves outdoor sports such as hiking and open water swimming.
Joss joined Island Green Power in 2020 and is responsible for the development of the company’s Solar PV projects in the New Zealand.
Joss’ role involves managing the New Zealand portfolio through the full development process, securing land, grid and managing the permitting process to bring projects through to shovel-ready. Joss is also responsible in the financial modelling and profitability of the projects across all jurisdictions that IGP operate.
Prior to joining Island Green Power, Joss worked as an Investment Manager at the Ingenious Group, focusing on the project financing and development funding of renewable energy projects in the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
Joss started his career in forestry investment after completing his Masters Degree in Chemistry at the University of Oxford.
Joss is a very keen traveller and surfer who enjoys playing rugby for his local club in his spare time.
Andrew is a Project Development Manager who joined Island Green Power in August 2024, focusing on the development of the company’s Solar PV projects in the New Zealand.
Andrew is based in New Zealand and has a background in planning and consulting, with 20 years’ industry experience, and is a full member of the New Zealand Planning Institute.
Prior to joining Island Green Power, Andrew worked for Boffa Miskell – a leading environmental planning and design consultancy – and led the successful consenting of Island Green Power’s first two New Zealand projects; the Rangiriri and Waerenga Solar Farms.
Andrew lives in Cambridge in the Waikato Region, and outside of work enjoys spending time with his family, sports and music.
An experienced communications professional, Tom has worked on projects from major international events to local developments.
In his over 20 years in public relations, Tom has worked across the profession, from copywriting to strategic advisory roles. Starting his career as part of the team organising Manchester's successful Commonwealth Games in 2002, he has worked successfully in diverse sectors, including local government, education, technology and the military.
Outside work, Tom enjoys cooking. To offset this, he is a reluctant but persistent runner.
Alessandra joined Island Green Power in 2022 and is responsible for coordinating Island Green Power’s marketing and communications initiatives.
She has more than five years of working in the energy field assisting on land and real estate matters and has a background in marketing and communications from renowned firms like WPP and Warner Bros.
In her leisure time, Alessandra enjoys the great outdoors, with kayaking and mountaineering among her favourite activities. Additionally, she is a yoga enthusiast and earned her instructor certification in 2018.
Charlotte Broadribb is a Brand Consultant and Creative Strategy Director with over 20 years’ experience in brand, marketing, advertising and communications.
As a Conceptual Creative, Charlotte is an expert in developing compelling campaigns, insight driven strategies and visionary thinking for clients in the UK and all over the world; specialising in the interaction between people and places, working predominantly with clients operating in the built environment and services spaces. Much of Charlotte’s independent consultancy work is to create unique creative strategies to engage target audiences, driving awareness and footfall, to generate revenue.
In 2012, Charlotte founded COLAB London, a virtual, collaborative, creative consultancy offering an alternative to the traditional advertising, digital or marketing agency; working with a flexible team of freelance designers, developers and filmmakers.
Eve Browning joined Island Green Power in 2021 as a Project Development Manager based in their Norwich office. Eve has over ten years’ experience in renewable energy development and project management roles.
Eve was previously Head of Development at Temporis Wind, an onshore wind developer-owner-operator responsible for the creation of the UK’s largest portfolio of Feed-in Tariff wind projects. Since then, Eve has gained experience in the development of utility scale solar developments and battery energy storage systems, as well as undertaking the DCO requirements discharge for an offshore wind farm in a consultancy role.
Eve has a master’s degree in Physics from the University of Oxford. In her spare time she enjoys exploring East Anglia and further afield with her energetic young family.
Will joined Island Green Power in April 2024 as a Senior Project Development Manager, focusing on guiding UK projects through their development journey. Will brings over 5 years of experience in developing both locally and nationally significant solar and battery projects, with a previous background as a project manager in commercial solar.
Primarily based near Manchester, Will has recently been responsible for advancing nationally significant scale projects in Scotland while continuing to contribute to renewable energy schemes across England. In addition, Will holds a keen interest in the progression of renewable energy in the UK, actively engaging with emerging technologies such as hydrogen fuel cells.
Outside of work, Will is a physically active father of three, enjoying moments spent with his family. He also holds a lifelong passion for music, including DJing and composing for short films.
Nick joined Island Green Power in May 2024 as a Senior Project Development Manager, based in their London office. Nick has over 15 years of planning consultancy experience across a range of development sectors. He specialises in renewable energy planning having worked exclusively on largescale solar and battery storage projects under the Town and Country Planning Act regime over the past 4 years.
During his time as a Planning Director at DWD, Nick was responsible for overseeing a large caseload of solar and battery storage projects throughout the UK and secured consent for over 1.2GW of solar. He also acted as a planning Expert Witness at a Public Inquiry.
Nick studied Property Development and Planning at the University of West of England and has been a full member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) since April 2012.
Outside of work, Nick enjoys cooking, hiking in the countryside and spending time with his family.
Annette is a Project Manager and Chartered Civil Engineer with over 30 years of experience in renewables, infrastructure and property.
Annette joined IGP in June 2024 and has previously worked in both the public and private sectors. She is very experienced in the development, procurement, financing and construction of renewables projects, and has previously overseen or been involved in all stages of developing some of England's largest wind farms.
Lesley joined Island Green Power in 2021 to project manage UK sites through the development process.
Solar energy has been a passion for Lesley since completing her thesis on dye-sensitised solar cells during her Master’s degree in Chemistry. She started her career as a Project Manager of residential solar installations and has since worked on the development and construction of commercial solar farms.
Lesley is also a keen volunteer for her local community energy group who manage the funding, construction and operation of solar installations to benefit the community. She provides technical support, event planning and has even been known to sing (badly) to promote the cause.
Lesley has farming roots, and loves to get out of the city and back to the countryside when she can. In London, she’s a regular on the netball court and the yoga mat.
Harman Sond joined Island Green Power in February 2024 as a Project Development Manager based in their London office. Harman has over 16 years of local authority and planning consultancy experience. He has spent the last 4 years almost exclusively working on securing permission for renewable development projects across the UK under the Town and Country Planning Act.
Harman has extensive experience of the UK planning system, having previously worked on non-renewable projects in the residential and commercial sectors. During his time at Third Revolution Projects he was responsible for helping secure planning consent for several solar farms with battery storage across different local authorities.
Harman studied Anthropology at University College London (UCL) and obtained a masters degree in development planning from University of Reading. He has been a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) since 2012. In his spare time, Harman enjoys going to the gym and when time allows, plays the dilruba, an Indian classical instrument he learnt in his youth.
Samantha has over 10 years of experience working within the planning and development industry. The majority of her career has been within the private consultancy sector helping clients obtain planning permission for a range of applications varying from residential and commercial to wind and solar energy projects.
Samantha's most recent role has been in Local Government working within the Strategic Planning Team, helping to co-ordinate and lead on large scale development.
Samantha studied Geography and Town Planning as an undergraduate and is now a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
Outside of work Samantha enjoys staying active within CrossFit but most of all she loves spending time with her family and friends (including her dachshund and two rabbits).
Jamie joined Island Green Power in July 2024 as a Project Development Manager, based in the London office.
Jamie is a Chartered Town Planner and has over seven years’ experience across local authority and consultancy. He has previously acted for and advised applicants and local authorities through various stages of the DCO process, and has been involved with the development and consenting of major energy generation and transmission schemes in both England and Scotland. He was shortlisted for RTPI London Young Planner of the Year in 2023.
Outside of work, Jamie enjoys cricket, cycling, travelling and long countryside walks to the pub with his energetic schnauzer.
Sam joined Island Green Power in December 2020 and is responsible for assisting the UK team deliver on its projects.
This is Sam’s first full time role after graduating from Swansea University with a First Class Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering. During his time at Swansea he gained a strong interest in renewables eventually completing his final year project on carbon capture.
Sam loves the outdoors, enjoying skiing and playing rugby. He has also completed the GR5 and GR20.
James joined Island Green Power in October 2022 as a Project Manager to assist the UK team in delivering on its projects based in the Norwich office.
He started his career as a Planning Consultant for a multidisciplinary planning consultancy, focusing on renewable developments. He cut his teeth assisting in the development of utility scale solar developments and battery energy storage systems, together with preparing applications for onshore wind and grid connections. He was also part of the project team that was granted the first solar DCO in the UK.
James graduated from the University of York in August 2021, with a degree in Human Geography and Environment with a Year in Industry. Here he completed his final project evaluating renewable energy policy against national climate targets.
James is a local supporter of Norwich City Football Club and is a keen traveller, often exploring Europe during his time off.
Donna Clarke is an experienced project developer who brings with her role a wealth of experience in both the public and private sectors.
As one of the first corporate environmental managers at a UK electricity supply and distribution utility company, Donna's experience spans a wide range of energy and environmental issues from waste management through to renewable energy and carbon management and accounting.
During her career, Donna has worked on new UK environmental legislation, the first commercial biodiesel plant in the UK and one of the first 50MW solar plants in the UK on a former airfield in Norfolk. Donna is particularly interested in UK planning policy and how the planning system can support the transition to a low carbon future.
Donna has a law degree and a master's degree in Environmental Planning. Away from the office Donna is a keen gardener.
Tom Edwards joined Island Green Power in 2022 as a Land Manager based in Cheltenham.
Tom has 8 years’ experience working with rural and infrastructure clients, having worked across a breadth of industries including power and renewables. Tom has worked on Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects, having worked through Development Consent Orders from inception to implementation. Across these projects Tom managed large volumes of land and interests, building effective working relationships with stakeholders.
Tom studied Rural Land Management at the Royal Agricultural College Cirencester and has qualified as a Chartered Surveyor and a Fellow of the Association of Agricultural Valuers.
In his spare time Tom enjoys outdoor and rural activities as well as rugby, gravel biking and home brewing.
Matthias joined Island Green Power in 2024 as a Land Manager based in Derbyshire.
Matthias has 9 years of experience working for corporate, institutional and private landowners. Prior to joining IGP, Matthias specialised in the valuation of rural assets for a variety of purposes, including advising landowners and claimants on the compulsory acquisition of property and rights over of land in relation to nationally significant infrastructure projects. Through this experience Matthias has become effective at working with stakeholders to identify issues and deliver projects to specification.
Matthias studied Rural Enterprise and Land Management at Harper Adams University, and qualified in 2015 becoming a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a RICS Registered Valuer.
Outside of work, Matthias enjoys spending time in the countryside with his friends and young family, and enjoys playing tennis, golf and skiing.
Kit joined Island Green Power in 2024 as Land Manager
Joining from a firm of Chartered Surveyors, Kit’s career, prior to Island Green Power, saw him working for both rural and infrastructure clients, across a breadth of industries including energy and water. Kit’s background in portfolio management has allowed him to work on Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects, working through public consultations and acquiring land for operational purposes.
Kit studied at the University of Leeds Business School, gaining a degree in Management, prior to undertaking a masters at the Royal Agricultural University. Since graduating, Kit has qualified as a Chartered Surveyor and has gained Fellowship to the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers.
Outside of work, Kit aims to spend most of his time outside, either running, swimming or on his paddleboard.
Robin joined Island Green Power as Head of Grid in 2024 bringing with him commercial, delivery and technical knowledge of the energy industry.
Robin holds a Master’s degree in engineering and initiated his energy career with 11 years within a regulated network business, building the foundations of his knowledge. He covered commercial, operations, people and change management. He has also got experience in lean 6sigma.
Robin since moved on to work for Hitachi Energy where he led one of their key global accounts covering grid infrastructure projects including; HVDC, power quality, GIS, AIS, super/grid transformer and solar/BESS.
Robin's super power is bringing together people with different skills, views and experience to achieve excellence. He thrives on a problem that can’t be solved.
Robin has a young family who remind him of the challenge to deliver netzero for future generations everyday.
Robin enjoys going to the gym, walking, motor racing, rugby, cricket and country pursuits.
Javier joined Island Green Power in 2019 and is responsible for the company’s Solar PV Plants portfolio under development in Spain.
Javier is committed to PV projects’ Location Securement, Interconnection Process, Preliminary Designs, Environmental and Administrative Authorizations, to secure the Spanish projects portfolio up to Ready to Build status.
Javier’s previous experience in Development and EPC in Japan, United Kingdom, Italy and Spain, is supported by his strong technical background and different environments’ know-how.
Before joining the renewable energy industry in 2010, Javier worked as a Civil Engineer in Spain, being involved in different construction projects of roads, water supply networks and metro railways.
Javier was born in Lérida but moved to Barcelona where he has lived for more than 10 years. Two of his remarkable passions are winter sports and motorcycling.
Luis joined Island Green Power in 2020 and is responsible for the development of the company’s Solar PV Plant portfolio in Spain.
Luis is focusing on obtaining all the required authorisations, permits and licenses to bring the sites up to a Ready to Build and Commercial Operation Date status, as quickly as possible.
Luis became involved in the renewable energy industry in 2008 when he graduated with a degree in Law and Business. He has been working as the in house lawyer for several financial entities playing a leading role in the funding of Solar PV Projects.
Luis is widely experienced in the development of PV projects. He has been involved in every stage up to Ready to Build status with 1,000 MW of plants developed, mainly in the Spanish and Latin American markets.
Luis lives in Madrid where he was born and raised. He is a formal member of the Spanish Bar Association and his biggest passions are tennis and gastronomy.
Arantxa joined Island Green Power in October 2023 and is responsible for the design of the projects in Spain. Arantxa studied Environmental Technology Engineering where she acquired the knowledge to understand and address current environmental challenges by applying the most suitable technologies for their resolution. Arantxa has a Master's degree in Energy Efficiency in Building, Industry and Transportation from the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
In 2021, Arantxa started an internship in Mapfre's energy efficiency and environmental department. In early 2022 she joined Circle Energy, where she worked in the technical department dedicated to develop renewable projects in Spain.
Outside of work, Arantxa enjoys playing volleyball and outdoor activities such as hiking and camping. She also enjoys drawing.
Ramón studied Engineering in Energy Resources, Fuels, and Explosives at the prestigious ETSI Minas y Energía (UPM) in Madrid. During his time there, he developed a deep passion for replacing fossil fuels with sustainable and renewable energy sources, which shaped the trajectory of his career.
In 2022, Ramón began his professional journey at Ekhi Energy in the Large Scale department, where he worked as a feasibility analyst for photovoltaic (PV) projects. His role involved monitoring monthly variations in free capacity at substations across Spain, helping identify new opportunities for Greenfield development. Ramón successfully managed the development of projects ranging from 5 MW to 20 MW, guiding them to Ready to Build status .Additionally, he performed technical due diligence for the acquisition of PV assets under development, meticulously verifying permits and identifying potential risks.
Outside of his professional life, Ramón has a keen interest in AI, Python, and emerging technologies. He is also passionate about playing the Spanish guitar and singing, and enjoys anime and Dungeons & Dragons as creative outlets.
Enrique Muñoz joined IGP in 2024. He is a skilled agricultural engineer with a diverse background. Originally from Ciudad Real, Enrique spent his early years competing in tennis across Spain, winning numerous trophies, and enjoyed horseback riding in the countryside.
He pursued Agricultural Engineering in Madrid, gaining a strong technical foundation over six years. In 2015, he expanded his business skills with an intensive finance and management course at the San Telmo Institute in Seville.
Following a year in the UK to refine his English and gain work experience, Enrique returned to Spain in 2017, where he studied for state Agricultural Engineering exams and founded a hunting company.
Enrique entered the renewable energy industry in 2021 with CYVACSA, where he built a solid foundation of industry knowledge. In 2022 he joined SOLARIA, where he was responsible for permitting, expropriations, and project management across various countries.
Enrique is passionate about advancing his expertise and making an impact in renewable energy.
